UDHAMPUR, JULY 21: District Development Council Udhampur met today in the Office Chamber of the Chairman Lal Chand to discuss and finalize the Plan proposals under the District Capex Budget – Area Development Plan under DDC, BDC and PRI grants for the financial year 2025–26.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairperson DDC Juhi Manhas Pathania; Chief Executive Officer DDC Rajinder Singh; DDC members, Assistant Commissioner Development, Block Development Officers and concerned District/Sectoral Officers.
The meeting discussed plan proposals across key sectors, including rural connectivity, rural infrastructure development, PHE, Irrigation and Water Conservation, Agriculture development, Youth Services and Sports, health and education. Special focus was laid on identifying area-specific development potential and avenues for employment generation.
The DDC members raised several developmental needs in their respective constituencies and put forth valuable suggestions to enhance the efficiency and performance of different departments.
It was informed that the annual plan was formulated through comprehensive Gram Sabha consultations, in coordination with former PRI members and other stakeholders, ensuring inclusive planning and transparency.
Following extensive deliberations, all members of the District Development Council unanimously finalized the Annual District Plan for the year 2025–26.
The Council also commended and appreciated the District Administration for successfully achieving the physical and financial targets set for the financial year 2023–24.
