RAMBAN, APRIL 10: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan today chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for 100 day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan starting tomorrow with a grand Padyatra.

The Padyatra shall commence from the District Police Line and culminate at the District Administrative Complex- Maitra.

The Deputy Commissioner exhorted the stakeholder departments to encourage active participation of the public in the campaign and the padyatra. “The initiative aims to mobilize the community and strengthen the collective resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society,” he stressed.

He directed officers to launch the campaign simultaneously in all sub-divisions, tehsils and panchayats and transform it into a mass movement through active public participation.

Stress was laid on sustained involvement of students, youth, volunteers, civil society organisations, public representatives and the general public so that the message of a drug-free society reaches every section of the community.
