DODA, APRIL 17: The Health Department, in collaboration with the School Education Department, on Friday organized a series of Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan awareness programs in different educational institutions of Doda Township.

The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff, who actively engaged in different activities designed to raise awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of adopting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

Block Medical Officer Ghat Dr. Abdul Gafoor led the awareness programmes. The participants were sensitized to the social, psychological and health-related consequences of substance abuse.

The Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan pledge was administered, encouraging the participants to play an active role in building a drug-free society.

Meanwhile, the School Education Department Doda organized debate and symposium programmes across various schools in the district.

Students from different educational institutions participated enthusiastically in debates and symposiums focusing on the alarming issue of drug abuse. The events provided a platform for students to express their views, raise awareness and highlight social, psychological and health hazards associated with substance abuse.

The initiative aims to sensitize young minds, encourage informed discussions and empower students to act as ambassadors of change in their communities.

Government Dy. SP Aman Thakur Memorial Degree College Kastigarh organized an informative and engaging quiz competition on disastrous consequences of drug addiction.

The students showcased their knowledge on different aspects of drug abuse, including its impact on health, society and overall well-being. The quiz also served as an effective platform to educate students about preventive measures and responsible decision-making.

It was informed that the winning teams shall be awarded certificates at the conclusion of the 100-day campaign.
