Additional Commissioner Kashmir reviews Digitisation of Jamabandis in Shopian

SHOPIAN, MAY 13: Additional Commissioner Kashmir, Akramullah Tak, along with ADDC Shopian, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Lone today took stock of the digitisation of Jamabandis in the district during a review meeting held at the Conference Hall of the Tehsil Office, Shopian.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faz; Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) Shopian, Shakoor Ahmed Dar; besides all Tehsildars and revenue officials of the district.

At the outset, the Additional Commissioner conducted a detailed assessment of the ongoing digitisation process across all Tehsils and directed the concerned officers to expedite the remaining work related to backlog mutation updation.

While reviewing the progress of digitisation of revenue records in the district,Tak was informed that 100 percent of Jamabandis across Shopian district have been digitised, while the work on updation of backlog mutations has also been completed.

Speaking on the occasion, he emphasized that digitisation of revenue records is a vital governance reform aimed at ensuring transparency, efficiency and citizen-centric service delivery, besides facilitating easy access to land-related information.

He instructed the officers to maintain close coordination and ensure accuracy in the digitised records so as to avoid discrepancies and inconvenience to the public.
