DODA, MAY 15: To strengthen the fight against drug abuse, Poshan Project Assar today organized a massive awareness rally under the ongoing 100 Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in Assar town.

The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from officials, volunteers, students, members of market associations and local residents.

District Programme Officer Mission Poshan Akther Hussain Qazi flagged off the rally. The procession commenced from the main market area and passed through several prominent locations of Assar town. Participants carried banners and placards with messages such as “Say No to Drugs”, “Youth Against Addiction” and “Drug-Free Society for a Better Future” to create awareness among the public regarding the social, economic and health-related consequences of drug addiction.

Speaking on the occasion, Akther Hussain Qazi emphasized that drug abuse has emerged as a serious social challenge and collective efforts are essential to eliminate this menace from society. He stressed the importance of active involvement of parents, teachers, religious leaders and community elders in guiding the younger generation towards positive and constructive activities.

The programme concluded with a solemn pledge by participants to support the mission to achieve a drug-free society and to actively contribute towards the success of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
