POONCH, MAY 18: Annual Urs begins at revered Battalkote Ziarat amid participation of a large number of devotees from across the region. Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma conducted an extensive tour of the shrine and paid obeisance at the shrine.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Muhammad Sayeed; Tehsildar Mandi Ashfaq Hussain; Administrator Auqaf Wajid Bashir Tikku, besides other officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the visit.
The Deputy Commissioner offered a Chadar at Ziarat Battalkote and prayed for peace, prosperity and communal harmony in the district.
The DC also interacted with the members of the Managing Committee of the Shrine and discussed the arrangements being made for the smooth conduct of the Annual Urs. He reviewed facilities for devotees and emphasized coordinated efforts among the concerned departments to ensure proper management during the religious event.
The shrine witnessed a large gathering of devotees who participated in the Annual Urs with great faith and enthusiasm.
