DODA, MAY 18: Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal today e-inaugurated the “Jan Bhagidaari Week” campaign from the District Headquarters with the objective of strengthening public participation and ensuring effective implementation of Government welfare schemes in remote and tribal areas of the district.
The week-long campaign, to be observed from May 18 to May 25, 2026, is being implemented under the theme “Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” with a focus on reaching out to the most remote and underserved sections of society.
The initiative is aimed at generating mass awareness regarding the Government-sponsored welfare schemes under PM JANMAN and DA-JGUA initiatives for tribal communities and residents of far-flung villages.
Addressing the officials at the launch programme, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the importance of inclusive governance and active public participation in achieving sustainable and equitable development. He stated that the initiative is part of a nationwide campaign of the Government of India to generate awareness among tribal communities and celebrate public participation across the country. The DC directed the district officers and concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure prompt redressal of issues, grievances and demands of tribal people in the district. “Every eligible beneficiary must receive the benefits of various Government-sponsored schemes in a transparent and time-bound manner,” he emphasized.
The Deputy Commissioner further urged all departments to make the Jan Bhagidaari Week a grand success by organizing extensive outreach activities, awareness drives, public interaction programmes and service delivery camps across the district. “The campaign will help bridge the gap between the administration and people residing in remote and inaccessible areas while ensuring saturation of welfare benefits related to healthcare, education, rural development, livelihood generation, social welfare and other flagship Government initiatives,” he added.
District officers and officials from across all departments are actively participating in the campaign to disseminate awareness and provide on-the-spot assistance to the public.
During the programme, a documentary short film, highlighting the culture, lifestyle, challenges and welfare initiatives for tribal communities was also screened. The film showcased the government’s efforts towards socio-economic upliftment and inclusive development of tribal populations living in remote areas. The district administration appealed to the public, especially people belonging to tribal and far-flung areas, to actively participate in the Jan Bhagidaari Week activities and avail maximum benefits from various developmental and welfare programmes being implemented by the Government.
