UDHAMPUR, MAY 18: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur and Principal Census Officer Minga Sherpa today chaired a review meeting with officers of various line departments to assess the progress of the self-enumeration process under Census-2027 in the district.
Earlier, the Principal Census Officer (Deputy Commissioner) completed his self-enumeration in the presence of concerned district officials.
A detailed presentation and live demonstration on the self-enumeration process were also conducted during the meeting to familiarize officers with the online system and its functioning.
Addressing the officers, the DC directed all departments to expedite the process and ensure completion of self-enumeration within the stipulated timeline.
The Principal Census Officer highlighted the importance of public participation in making Census-2027 accurate, inclusive and effective.
He also appealed to the people of district Udhampur to actively participate in the Census-2027 process by self-enumerating their household details online and contributing towards building a strong and prosperous India.
