ADC Handwara reviews Eid-ul-Adha Arrangements

HANDWARA, MAY 22: Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara,Javed Naseem Masoodi on Friday convened a meeting of officers from various line departments to review and finalize arrangements for the smooth and peaceful celebration of Eid-ul-Adha across the Sub-Division-Handwara.

During the meeting, the ADC stressed upon all concerned to ensure proper coordination and timely implementation of necessary arrangements so that people do not face any inconvenience during the auspicious occasion. He directed officers to ensure uninterrupted power and water supply, proper sanitation, availability of healthcare facilities, traffic management, and adequate transportation services at all major congregation sites and market areas.

The ADC instructed Municipal Committee of Handwara, Langate to intensify cleanliness drives in and around mosques, Eidgahs, marketplaces, and other public places. He also emphasized the need for proper disposal arrangements and maintaining hygienic conditions during the festive days.

Tehsildars and food safety department were directed to intensify market checking drives to prevent profiteering, hoarding, overcharging, and sale of substandard items. Availability of essential commodities and sacrificial animals at notified rates was also reviewed during the meeting.

The Health Department was asked to keep medical teams, ambulances, and emergency services available at important locations, while Fire and Emergency Services were directed to remain alert and ensure deployment of fire tenders wherever required.

Police department were instructed to ensure smooth vehicular movement, proper parking arrangements, and adequate security measures for peaceful observance of Eid-ul-Adha.

The ADC reiterated that all departments must remain proactive and responsive to facilitate hassle-free celebrations for the general public.
