BHADERWAH, JULY 15: A meeting on the TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (Jan Bhagidari) was held today in the office chamber of Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bhaderwah Anil Kumar Thakur to review tuberculosis control activities and strengthen measures for a TB-free sub-division.
During the meeting, it was informed that 34 TB patients have been identified in the block, with 19 TB-free panchayats, 12 high-risk areas and 32 Nikshay Mitras actively supporting the programme. The meeting also reviewed implementation of the Nikshay App, basic life support, differentiated TB care and community participation through NCC and My Bharat volunteers.
Several decisions were taken including strengthening TB awareness campaigns, ensuring installation of the Nikshay TB App by all concerned staff, conducting regular TB and Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) screening camps, requesting officers under the Nikshay Mitra Initiative to provide one Nikshay Basket to TB patients on the fifth and 15th of every month, organising monthly medical camps and displaying IEC banners in government offices. Weekly TB screening camps and Nikshay Mitra support for patients will also be intensified.
Among those present were Block Medical Officer Bhaderwah Dr Varsha Sharma, Dr Yasir (BNO), NCC Officer HSS (Boys) Bhaderwah Arif Rana and NCC Officer HSS (Girls) Bhaderwah Anku, besides representatives from the BDO Office, GDC Bhaderwah and CDPO Office.
