REASI, AUGUST 8: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Kumar Abhishek chaired a meeting today to review the preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga-2026 campaign and the commemoration of 150 years of Vande Mataram (Phase III), scheduled to be observed from August 9 to 17, 2026.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner Reasi reviewed the detailed action plan for the campaign and assessed the preparedness of various departments for organizing a series of patriotic, cultural and public-participation activities across the district.
He directed all concerned departments to ensure effective implementation of the campaign across all blocks, panchayats, educational institutions, government offices and prominent public places. He called for organizing Tiranga rallies involving students, youth, NCC cadets and people from all sections of society. He also stressed the need for Tiranga-themed decorations and illumination of government offices, markets and other prominent locations.
He further directed to organize Tiranga Rangoli competitions, Tiranga Rakhi-making workshops, quiz and letter-writing competitions, along with mass singing of Vande Mataram and other suitable patriotic cultural programmes in schools, colleges and public places. He emphasized maximum participation of students and youth to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and collective celebration.
Reviewing the arrangements for the National Flag, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned department to ensure the sale and distribution of Tirangas through Self-Help Groups and other designated channels. He urged departments and institutions to encourage citizens to participate in the ‘Selfie with Tiranga’ campaign and upload their photographs on the official Har Ghar Tiranga portal. He stressed real-time reporting of events and coordinated publicity to ensure maximum visibility and participation across the district.
He further directed all concerned departments to make necessary arrangements for the district-level Tiranga rallies and other activities in accordance with the prescribed schedule. ADC Rakesh Kumar, ACR Nitin Verma, GM DIC, ACR and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
