BUDGAM, SEPTEMBER 29: As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme, 11 JKAP Security Battalion, Security Complex Humhama, organized a special community-oriented programme at Government High School (GHS) Ompora, Budgam, in connection with the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
The programme focused on promoting the ideals of national unity, integrity, patriotism and community welfare.
During the event, school kits were distributed among needy students, while a debate competition on the life, ideals and contribution of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was also conducted. Students participated enthusiastically and expressed their views on the invaluable contribution of Sardar Patel towards the unity and integrity of the nation.
Later, as part of the same Civic Action Programme, a wheelchair distribution programme was held at the Battalion Headquarters, Security Complex Humhama. Wheelchairs were distributed among needy and deserving persons identified by the District Social Welfare Officer Budgam.
The initiative was aimed at extending meaningful assistance to persons requiring mobility support and reaffirming the commitment of J&K Police towards the welfare of vulnerable and deserving sections of society.
The beneficiaries and their families expressed their gratitude for the humanitarian initiative. The programme also provided an opportunity to further strengthen the bond of trust and cooperation between the police and the community.
Through such welfare-oriented initiatives, 11 JKAP Security Battalion continues to contribute towards community welfare and strengthening police-public relations under the Civic Action Programme.
