RAMBAN, OCTOBER 05: A joint inspection drive was conducted today in Gool by the Police Department and the Drug Inspector Ramban, to ensure strict compliance with drug control regulations and curb the misuse of psychotropic medicines.
Several medical establishments were inspected. The team checked licences, availability of trained pharmacist, drug sale records and other mandatory documents.
Three medical shops were found violating the prescribed regulatory norms and the same were sealed by the concerned authorities.
The inspection drive forms part of the ongoing efforts of the district administration Ramban and Police Department to ensure strict enforcement of drug control laws, check the misuse of medicines and safeguard public health.
The authorities reiterated that strict action will be taken against establishments found violating statutory provisions or indulging in the unauthorised sale or misuse of medicines.
