J&K reports one death, 25 fresh cases

'Srinagar records 09 cases', active cases 172 in J&K

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported 25 fresh cases of Covid-19, taking the number of active cases to 172 while one more death was reported in the UT in last 24 hours taking death toll to 4,785.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that among 25 new cases, 21 belong to Kashmir division while as 04 to Jammu division.

He said that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached to 305,047 including 302,503 recoveries and 2,433 deaths, while total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 173,925 including 171,512 recoveries and 2,352 deaths.

He further said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 172 including 111 from Kashmir division and 61 from Jammu division.

With 46 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in J&K has reached to 474,015 which is 98.96 percent of the total cases.

“Among the fresh 25 cases today, 09 are from Srinagar, 05 from Baramulla, 01 from Budgam, 00 from Pulwama, 00 from Kupwara, 01 from Anantnag, 00 from Bandipora, 03 from Ganderbal, 02 from Kulgam and 00 from Shopian in Kashmir division while 04 are from Jammu division that include 03 from Jammu district, 00 from Udhampur, 00 from Rajouri, 00 from Doda, 01 from Kuthua , 00 from Samba, 00 from Kishtwar, 00 from Poonch, 00 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” said the official.

As per the daily information bulletin 6,794,055 persons in J&K are under observation while 547 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides 172 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 6,787,957 persons have completed the surveillance period and 594 persons are under home surveillance besides so far results of 26,607,787 samples are available.

“Out of 26,607,787 the number of samples tested negative stands at 26,128,815 while 478,972 have tested positive, among them 172 cases are active, 474,015 have recovered and 4,785 persons have died,” it added—(KNO)
