Lucknow, Oct 10: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday pointed out the state government’s achievement of offering government jobs to over 6 lakh youths in the last six years and said that the collective dedication and energy of these youths can transform Uttar Pradesh into a capable and prosperous state.

The CM distributed appointment letters to 393 homeopathic pharmacists selected by UP Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) under a fair and transparent recruitment process at an event organised at Lok Bhawan.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that previously it took one and a half to two years to receive the results of the Public Service Commission in UP. “However, the SSSC has now streamlined the process, delivering results within 6 to 9 months, ensuring a fair and transparent selection procedure,” he said.

Yogi said, “The Global Inventors Summit was organised in UP in February through which the state received investment proposals worth Rs 38 lakh crore. This will provide jobs to more than one crore youth. Today, UP is emerging as a new destination for employment generation within the country.”

He emphasized the remarkable progress made by India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past nine and a half years. “The result of this is that India has taken a huge leap in the field of traditional medicine,” he said.

The CM said, “Ayurveda has always been a part of our lives. Yoga has been associated with the tradition of India since ancient times. People have been using homeopathy in some form or another
in villages. But for the first time, the Ministry of AYUSH was formed by combining Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha, and Homeopathy, giving a new identity to the traditional medicine of India.”

He highlighted the pivotal role played by Ayush Kadha as a support system during the Covid pandemic.
“As a result of the work started in this direction after 2014, the country’s largest state in terms of population is moving forward strongly,” he said.

Yogi said, “AYUSH University is being set up in the state so that degree and diploma courses can be started in different disciplines of AYUSH.”

He said that in the past, pharmacists chosen for Ayurveda were not given government jobs, but today it has become a part of the government system. He noted that the government was actively promoting all forms of AYUSH and working diligently to set up Yoga and Wellness Centers to cater to a population of 5,000.
The CM said that AYUSH in India holds the greatest potential for health tourism.”Today, the world is looking in this direction. For this reason, it is our responsibility to provide a global-level environment for the people coming for health tourism,” he said.

Advising the newly chosen pharmacists, he said, “Your behaviour toward the patient can solve many of his problems. Half of the patient’s disease is cured by your benevolent behaviour.”Yogi said that traditional medicine should be encouraged for career and good health.

“Doctors associated with Ayurveda, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy should carry forward the research and development program without any hesitation. Not only this, but the paramedics associated with AYUSH can also play an important role in expanding these disciplines. They can collect patient data and create a data bank, which can be used in preparing study reports,” he said.

He also interacted with a group of selected homeopathic pharmacists during the event.
Mohammad Arif from Hardoi, overwhelmed by his government job selection, expressed his deep gratitude to CM Yogi. He shared that he is the first member of his family to secure a position in government service and pledged to carry out his responsibilities with utmost honesty.

Vivek Mishra, hailing from Prayagraj, lauded the fair and transparent recruitment process that led to his selection. He extended his thanks to CM Yogi and committed to diligently fulfill all duties assigned by the department and the government.
