Jammu, Sep 11: Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Brigadier (retd) B D Mishra on Monday claimed that China has not occupied even one square inch of land in in the UT.

“I have seen myself on the ground that not even one square inch of our land is occupied by the Chinese,” the LG Ladakh here told reporters during North Tech Symposium in Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Jammu, as per news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO).

The comment came days after Congress leader and Member Parliament Rahul Gandhi during is Ladakh visit stated that the China has occupied large chunk of land in Ladakh, the Union Territory of Ladakh.

Refusing to comment on the remarks of Rahul Gandhi, he said, “I will say the fact that not even one square inch of our land is occupied by the Chinese and if anyone is engaging in any misadventure, the armed forces are prepared to give a “bloody nose” to them.”

He said, “Our armed forces are prepared for any eventuality and the morale of the forces is very high. The credit to this boost goes to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”—(KNO)
