BANDIPORA,Sep15: In a remarkable initiative to ignite the flames of scientific curiosity among young minds, the Girls Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bandipora orchestrated a captivating science exposure tour to the prestigious Baba Atomic Research Centre’s High Altitude Lab (HARL) nestled amidst the picturesque landscapes of Gulmarg.

According to a statement from GHSS, this enlightening journey not only exposed the students to the cutting-edge world of scientific research but also provided them with a deeper appreciation for the wonders of the cosmos.

At the heart of this educational expedition were the brilliant young minds of GHSS Bandipora, eager to explore the mysteries of science. Their excitement was palpable as they stepped into the hallowed halls of HARL, a hub of scientific innovation.

Dr. Mushtaq and Dr. Tariq, distinguished scientists associated with HARL, took on the roles of enthusiastic mentors. They guided the students through the intricacies of capturing thermal neutron signals generated by cosmic radiations. This captivating process, essential for studying activities in the vicinity of the sun, unfolded before the students’ eyes, sparking their imaginations and fostering a profound understanding of the celestial phenomena that surround us.

Nayeem Ahmad Parray, a senior lecturer at GHSS Bandipora, passionately advocated for such educational sojourns. He asserted that these immersive experiences are pivotal in cultivating a scientific and research-oriented mindset among students. Parray believes that this exposure will serve as a catalyst, motivating students to explore career opportunities in scientific fields and research, transcending the boundaries of traditional education.

Ishtiyaq Samoon, senior lecturer in chemistry and the representative of GHSS Bandipora, expressed his profound gratitude to the faculty at HARL Gulmarg. He commended the unwavering commitment of scientists who welcome school visits to their laboratories with open arms. Samoon emphasized that this partnership is instrumental in nurturing future generations along scientific lines, ultimately shaping the scientific landscape of tomorrow.

In a heartening display of solidarity, the students were accompanied by dedicated members of the GHSS Bandipora staff. Their presence underscored the collaborative efforts within the school to provide students with invaluable exposure to the realms of science. This sojourn to HARL Gulmarg left an indelible impression on the young minds, imbuing them with a deep-seated appreciation for the vast universe of scientific knowledge and inspiring them to consider the limitless possibilities of a career in research.

The statement further reads “In a world increasingly reliant on scientific advancements, initiatives like these serve as bridges between theoretical knowledge and practical applications. They are pivotal in nurturing the next generation of scientists and researchers, ensuring a brighter and more enlightened future for the world of science and, by extension, our society as a whole.

“The GHSS Bandipora’s science exposure tour to HARL Gulmarg is indeed a resounding success, a testament to the power of education to shape young minds and the future of scientific exploration,” they said.
