AHD organises mega Awareness Programme at Town Hall Bandipora.

BANDIPORA, FEBRUARY 22:  A mega awareness programme was today organised by the department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora regarding ongoing different schemes including Holistic Agricultural Development Program.

 Shaheena Begum was invited as a special guest, who was recently praised by Hon’ble Prime Minister, Narendra Modi during a live interaction programme.

The programme was attended by Officers from Animal Husbandry, Doctors besides Pashu Sakhis and Self Help Groups.

 The department of Animal Husbandry expressed gratitude to Shaheena Begum in acknowledging the contribution of the department in her great success while interacting with Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

 The Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) Bandipora, Dr G.A.Lone felicitated Shaheena Begum by presenting a memento for her success.

 The Poshu Sakhis present during the programme expressed satisfaction for the support of the department in lifting their socio-economic status, by successfully implementing the A-Help Program in the district.

 Dr G.A.Lone expressed happiness on the contribution of the department in facilitation of Shaheena Begum for establishing a progressive and income generating Poultry unit and assisting in availing loan facility for sustenance of the Poultry unit and congratulated her for being praised by Hon’ble Prime Minister of India.

He also stressed upon the participants to work hard in establishment of different employment generation units, with all time support of the department under different schemes.

The department will continue financial and technical support to all, particularly youth/ women of the district through such awareness programs.

The department has been able to create many success stories like that of Shaheena Begum in Poultry, Muhammad Muqeem in Milk Processing, and Rifat Mushtaq for establishing Milk ATM (marketing) etc.

Shaheena Begum in her speech thanked the Department of Animal Husbandry and District Administration for their support especially during the hardship she faced while maintaining and sustaining the Poultry unit.

She also advised all Poshu Sakhis, self help groups to come forward and avail benefits of the different schemes being run by the department of the Animal Husbandry and NRLM.
