UDHAMPUR, FEBRUARY 22: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai, chaired a District-level Standing Committee meeting to discuss and finalize draft objections related to cases of state/departmental land encroachment.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Additional Superintendent of Police Baljit Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan, along with Tehsildars and officers from various departments were present in the meeting.
Discussions centered on 13 cases covering various aspects, with a focus on addressing legal challenges affecting different departments. Tehsildars were directed to prepare draft objections, ensuring they are vetted by the District Legal Officer for subsequent filing in court to expedite case resolution.
Additionally, Tehsildars were tasked with issuing notices and conducting eviction drives against illegal occupants.
DC emphasized personal follow-ups by officers, prompt filing of necessary replies, and ensuring timely disposal of legal matters. The meeting underscored the importance of streamlining processes to accelerate resolution and promote overall district progress.
