NCORD, NSS, NCC and Sports department of Government General Zorawar Singh Memorial Degree College Reasi organised Youth Conclave/Run for Fun under the patronage of Principal Dr Kulvinder Kour on 29th Feb, 2024 at Sports Stadium, Reasi in collaboration with Chief Education Officer, Reasi , District Youth Services & Sports Officer, Reasi & District Social Welfare officer, Reasi in which the students of GDC Reasi/Dharmari/Sarh Bagga/Pouni/Katra & Hr. Sec. Schools also were participate. On this occasion the Chief Guest Mr Vishesh Paul (JKAS) District Development Commissioner Reasi Worthy Deputy Commissioner emphasized the active participation of youth in spreading awareness about the menace of drug abuse. He motivated the students to become the ambassadors of change towards the process of making a drug free society. He further guided the young audience who have attained the age of 18 to register themselves in the voter list.
In this connection one resource person from police department Inspector Chaman Gorkha and one from district hospital Reasi Dr Arti Thakur gave lecture on drug abuse. After that Chief Guest Mr Vishesh Paul DDC Reasi and Mr Dr. Kulvinder Kour principal GDC Reasi flag off the run for fun. Prof Irfan Arif, the host of event, applauded the efforts of worthy deputy commissioner to channelize the energy of the youth with some beautiful couplets. He thanked the participants, organizers and all the stakeholders of the event. He also used his expertise in poetry to the fullest in enlightening the students about the whole program.The program was attended by the Dr Sushma Mava Principal GHSS Reasi Mr Kulbhushan Khajuria (ADC) and also faculty members of GDC Reasi Dr Romesh Atri , Dr Anchal Raj , Prof Prof Ravi Kant, Prof Hitesh Basotra, Prof Narinder Sharma,PTI Rakesh Kumar, Prof Pooja Dehman , Dr Omer Habib, Prof. Zaheer Abbas, Prof Satish Kumar from GDC Reasi, Mr Tarsem Singh District youth officer, Mr Dalbeer Mehta manager sports stadium Reasi ,Dr Prem Singh GDC Pouni and other officials of the different departments. At the end of the program the refreshment was served all the participants from district administration.
