Srinagar, Mar 11 : A nine-year-old girl was mauled to death by a leopard in central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Monday evening.
Reports reaching Srinagar based news agency said that a leopard attacked one Rabiya Nisar (9), near his residence at Samsan area of Khansahib.
They said that the minor girl was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
The officials of wildlife and other concerned departments have taken cognizance of the incident and a man haunt will be launched to trace the leopard.
Pertinently, the big cats have been frequently spotted in the area.
