BANDIPORA, MARCH 15: To mark the celebration of Chinar Day, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Shakeel ul Rehman on Friday kick-started Chinar plantation drive by planting a Chinar sapling within the premises of Mini Secretariat, Bandipora.
ADC Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit; ACD Bandipora, Peer Mumtaz Ahmad besides officers and officials of Floriculture Department were present on the occasion.
Besides, Mini Secretariat Bandipora, the plantation of Chinar saplings was also held at Nishat Park Bandipora and Wullar Vantage Park, Garoora.
On the occasion, the concerned officials of the floriculture department informed that around 150 Chinar saplings are available with District Floriculture Office and shall be provided free of cost to Educational Institutions, Shrines and Government Departments.
