Jammu April 21: Jammu District Junior Basketball Championship was organised by the Jammu District Basketball Association under the aegis of J and K Basketball Association MA Stadium from the 20th to 21st of April 2024. Various teams, both boys and girls participated in the championship with players from different institutions and clubs of Jammu .
A total of 14 Teams Participated in the championship with 9 Boys teams and 5 Girls Teams Among the Girls the Championship was won by STC Warriors and the terriers won the first runners up trophy. In the Boys section STC Warriors won the winners trophy where as Jammu Ballerz won the first runner up trophy.
Mrs Gurpreet Handa was the Chief Guest for the day. She congratulated all the players and said that the players played well despite the gruelling heat. She congratulated all the teams for participating and encouraged them to play harder and improve their game.
Dr Vikram Handa President J and K Basketball Association and Sh Ashok Singh President Jammu District Basketball association were among the notable dignitaries present. Sushma Jamwal, Chief Coach JK Sports Council, Ranbir Singh Coach from Youth Services and Sports, Shubham Sharma Mentor Khelo India and Sachin Dogra also graced the occasion with their presence.Manoj Kumar Solanki, Amanjot Singh and Jaskirat Singh acted as officials during the Championship.
