BANDIPORA, JUNE 12: As part of the annual Action Plan and in a significant step towards addressing domestic violence and promoting women’s empowerment, SAKHI One Stop Centre (OSC) Bandipora today organized an awareness program at ICDS Centre, Qazipora Bandipora.
The programme featured the distribution of informative posters and pamphlets among the attendees, aimed at educating the community about the pressing issues of domestic violence and the avenues available for support.
Afshana Hassan, Psycho-Social Counselor, OSC Bandipora, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of breaking the silence surrounding harassment and urging individuals and communities to actively report any incident of violence against women.
Highlighting the services provided by the SAKHI One Stop Centre Jameela Akhter, Case Worker OSC Bandipora underscored that all assistance is offered free to women affected by any form of violence.
She said, SAKHI OSC is not just an institution, but as a movement driven by and for women, with the powerful motto, ‘Centre of the Women, for the Women, and by the Women.’
Akhter reiterated the Centre’s dedication to guiding women towards healing, justice and the reclamation of their lives.
