NCORD reviews anti-drug initiatives in Thannamandi

THANNAMANDI, JULY 02: Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Thannamandi, Abid Hussain Shah convened a crucial meeting today in his chamber to review effectiveness of anti-drug initiatives and ensuring drug-free Panchayats and Municipalities in the region.

The meeting brought together key officials from various departments including Tehsildar, Block Development Officer, Rep of Block Medical Officer, Station House Officer, representatives of Principals of GHSS (Boys and Girls and GHSS Planger.

President of the local Medical/Chemist Association and Khatib Jamia Masjid were also among the attendees
The SDM emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to combat drug abuse. He stressed the need for a robust system to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of ongoing anti-drug initiatives. He directed the concerned officials to seamlessly work together and ensure the implementation of effective strategies at the grassroots level.

The SDM also highlighted the role of educational institutions and community leaders in spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and fostering a culture of vigilance and responsibility among the youth.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment from all officials to intensify their efforts and collaborate more closely in the fight against drugs, aiming to create a safer and healthier environment for the residents of Thannamandi.
