Budgam, Aug 01 : The retired government employees and senior citizens of district Budgam under the banner of JKL Pensioners United Front raised their voice over the issues being faced by them.

President of the Front, Abdul Qayoom Wani told the news agency that “Pensioners are facing discrimination from every side which must be eradicated by administrative heads as soon as possible.”

“There must be separate senior citizen counters at Railways, Banks, Airports and other public places for senior citizens and pensioners,” he said, adding that no pensioner should face injustice from any official in any department and the front will never tolerate such kind of attitude from administrative heads.

He further added “pensioners and senior citizens have broader vision and capacity to deal with things and senior citizens can play great role in eradication of social evils.”

Moreover, the pensioners front also said that departments should focus on the issues like GP Fund, abolition of NPS and other things related to employees.

Moreover, a body of pensioners from Central Kashmir’s Budgam was established under the district presidentship of Mohammad Akbar Mir for grievances redressal.
