KISHTWAR, AUGUST 06: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav along with SSP, Abdul Qayoom paid tribute to the martyrs during a solemn event organised by District Police to honor the courageous martyrs of the J&K Police who made the ultimate sacrifice in the battle against terrorism.

The ceremony commenced with a visit to the martyrs’ memorial, where DC and SSP Kishtwar, along with the Next of Kin (NOKs) of the martyrs, paid heartfelt tributes. They laid wreaths and offered their solemn respects to the fallen heroes whose sacrifices have safeguarded the security and integrity of the region.

Deputy Commissioner reassured the NOKs of continued support from the Administration, promising assistance with educational needs and other life challenges.
The tribute was followed by a significant environmental initiative.

The DC accompanied by police and civil administration officials and family of NOKs of martyrs, launched the plantation drive on the theme of “Ek Ped Shaheedon Ke Naam”.

This project aims to plant a tree in honor of each J&K Police martyr, symbolizing the enduring legacy of their sacrifice and promoting environmental stewardship.
