BANDIPORA, AUGUST 12: In an inspiring move, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Bandipora, Umar Shafi Pandit today flagged-off a group of eight enthusiastic students from the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Gurez, who have been selected to attend and witness the prestigious Independence Day ceremony at Red Fort, New Delhi, on August 15, 2024.

The flagging-off ceremony took place at the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADC Bandipora expressed his pride and joy in providing this unique opportunity to the students, which will allow them to witness the grandeur of the national celebrations and gain a deeper understanding of the significance of India’s Independence Day.

“This is a momentous occasion for these young minds, who will not only represent Gurez and Bandipora but also carry back with them the spirit of patriotism and unity.

He said, the experience of witnessing the Independence Day ceremony at the Red Fort will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression on their lives.

The group of students from EMRS Gurez, accompanied by the HOI EMRS Gurez, Shafqat Hussain and filled with excitement and anticipation, expressed their eagerness to witness the National event.
