Coronavirus: JK reports 199 new cases

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Tuesday reported 199 fresh positive cases of COVID-19, thus taking the number of total active cases in the Union Territory to 1,541 while no death was reported in last 24 hours.
With no more deaths, the death toll in J&K stands at 4,530 and 199 fresh positive cases reported on Tuesday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 342,001.
Of the exact number of 342,001 cases, 215,467 are from Kashmir division and 126,534 from Jammu division.
Officials said that among 199 new cases, 109 belong to Kashmir division while as 90 are from Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir division have reached to 215,467 including 212,206 recoveries and 2,331 deaths while as total number of positive cases in Jammu division have reached to 126,534 including 123,724 recoveries and 2,199 deaths.
The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,541 including 930 from Kashmir division and 611 from Jammu division.
With 156 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 335,930 which is 98.23 percent of the total cases.
“Cases tested positive in J&K include 62 from Srinagar, 03 from Baramulla, 14 from Budgam, 04 from Pulwama, 08 from Kupwara, 05 from Anantnag, 05 from Bandipora, 05 from Ganderbal, 03 each from Kulgam and 00 Shopian in Kashmir division while as 90 from Jammu division include 58 from Jammu division, 03 from Udhampur, 03 from Rajouri, 03 from Doda, 07 from Kathua, 02 from Samba, 01 from Kishtwar, 09 from Poonch, 04 from Ramban and 00 from Reasi,” officials disclosed.
Meanwhile, authorities said that no fresh cases of Mucormycosis popularly known as black fungus was reported in the UT and the tally stands at 51.
As per officials figures, 78,996 positive cases including 883 deaths and 77,638 recoveries are from Srinagar, 26,037 including 291 deaths and 25,617 recoveries are from Baramulla, 24,541 including 24,263 recoveries and 217 deaths are from Budgam, 15,751 including 15,511 recoveries and 195 deaths are from Pulwama, 14,994 including 167 deaths and 14,771 recoveries are from Kupwara, 16,749 including 16,516 recoveries and 208 deaths are from Anantnag, 10,182 cases including 10,031 and 111 deaths are from Bandipora, 11,037 including 10,874 recoveries and 82 deaths are from Ganderbal, 11,561 including 11,427 recoveries and 118 deaths are from Kulgam and 5,619 including 5,558 recoveries and 59 deaths are from Shopian.
In Jammu division, 54,375 including 52,824 recoveries and 1,157 deaths are from Jammu district, 11,494 including 11,333 recoveries and 139 deaths are from Udhampur, 11,390 including 11,134 recoveries and 239 deaths are from Rajouri, 8,080 including 7,889 recoveries and 137 deaths are from Doda, 9,405 including 9,230 recoveries and 153 deaths are from Kathua, 7,189 including 7,053 recoveries and 120 deaths are from Samba, 4,856 including 4,809 recoveries and 44 deaths are from Kishtwar, 6,626 including 6,493 recoveries and 100 deaths are from Poonch, 6,085 including 6,006 recoveries and 67 deaths are from Ramban and 7,034 including 6,953 recoveries and 43 deaths are from Reasi.
As per the daily information bulletin 5,281,217 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 7,946 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,541 persons are in isolation.
According to the bulletin, 4,832,276 persons have completed the surveillance period and 434,924 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 19,563,849 samples are available. Out of 19,563,849 the number of samples tested negative stands at 19,221,848 while as 342,001 have tested positive, among them 1,541 persons are active, 335,930 persons have recovered and 4,530 persons have died.
