DODA, SEPTEMBER 15: District Election Office Doda, under the leadership of District Election Officer (DEO) Harvinder Singh, organized a grand SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) Festival at picturesque Gatha resort Park Bhaderwah aimed at raising public awareness for the upcoming General Assembly Elections 2024.

The event commenced with a SVEEP awareness balloon release and screening of a short documentary on the Lok Sabha elections at the DC Office Complex Doda.

District officers, officials, and members of civil society gathered to witness the inspiring speech delivered by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, who motivated participants to work diligently for the smooth conduct of the upcoming elections. SSP Mohd Aslam also highlighted the importance of collective efforts in ensuring a successful election process.

A similar SVEEP logo balloon was released in the sky at Khellani and Bhaderwah to create awareness among voters and encourage them to participate in the election campaign.

A bike rally, flagged off by DEO Harvinder Singh, was a key attraction of the event. Singh himself led the rally on a motorbike, accompanied by SSP and a large group of bikers. The rally commenced from the DC Office Complex and concluded at Gatha Resort Park, Bhaderwah, adding excitement and commitment to the awareness campaign. The rally aimed to draw attention to the importance of voter participation and encourage citizens to actively engage in the electoral process.

The SVEEP Festival continued at Gatha Park, Bhaderwah, where a series of events unfolded with enthusiastic participation from students, officials, and the public. Highlights included a Nukkad Natak on voter awareness performed by students from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School Doda and a cultural presentation featuring Gojri and Sarazi dances. The festival also included a mock polling booth demonstration aimed at educating the public on the voting process.

The day-long event concluded with large-scale participation, showcasing the collaborative efforts of the district administration, election officials, and local communities to spread electoral awareness.
