Bandipora, Sep 26 : National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah on Thursday said that Congress leader Nizamuddin Bhat is the alliance candidate from Bandipora assembly constituency and that party is not supporting any other candidate.
In a joint rally in Bandipora’s Ajas, Omar Abdullah, as per news agency asked the NC workers to fully support Nizamuddin Bhat in Bandipora and not to get swayed by bogus candidates.
He said that there is no other candidate in the field except Nizamuddin Bhat and National Conference worker should fully support him.
“I believe every vote of National Conference worker will be cast in favour of Nizamuddin Bhat in Bandipora and Hilal Lone in Sonawari. National Conference fully supports alliance candidate Nizamuddin Bhat,” he clarified.
Notably, a candidate, who had earlier affiliation with the National conference, is now contesting as independent candidate.
The candidate is confusing people while seeking votes, saying she is backed by National Conference.
