KISHTWAR, OCTOBER 10: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Kishtwar, Rajesh Kumar Shavan today chaired a monthly meeting to review the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the district.

The meeting aimed to assess the progress of various ongoing water supply projects and ensure strict adherence to the timeline of completion.

At the outset, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department, Hydraulic Division, Kishtwar, Sunil Kumar Sharma, presented a detailed report on the achievements since the last review meeting held on August 25, 2024.

The DDC scrutinized the progress of key schemes, particularly those with a target completion date set for one month.

Expressing concern over the slow pace of work, the DDC directed the executing agencies to expedite the work on ongoing projects.

Additionally, the DDC instructed the Executive Engineer to compile and submit a list of contractors whose performance has been unsatisfactory or who have abandoned work, to initiate penalty action against them.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Shahnawaz Bali, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Department, Sunil Kumar Sharma, and AEs and JEs from various subdivisions.
