SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 23: As part of the ongoing ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) initiative, Sankalp Hub for Empowerment of Women (SHEW) Shopian today organized awareness programmes at Government Higher Secondary Zampathri and Government Middle School Amshipora, Shopian.
The programmes were aimed at raising awareness on the importance of the girl child and promoting gender equality. The team from Sankalp Hub emphasized the need for protecting and educating girls, stressing the critical role of empowering women and girls for a progressive society.
During the events, stationary kits were distributed among underprivileged girls to support their educational journey.
These efforts align with the broader goals of the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ campaign to eliminate gender bias and ensure equal opportunities for girls in education and society.
