Reasi admin starts preparation for Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya

REASI, NOVEMBER 04: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi Vishesh Mahajan chaired a meeting here today to finalize arrangements for the Ati Maha Vishnu Yagya scheduled to take place in Pouni from November 21 to December 1, 2024.

SSP Gaurav Sikarwar and functionaries from across all line departments attended the meeting. DC emphasised that public convenience is priority, while issuing key directives to ensure adequate water and power supply throughout Yagya.

The DC directed for installation of makeshift toilet units at the site for public convenience, along with proper barricading to manage crowd flow and maintain safety on key routes. Security will be heightened with the strategic deployment of police personnel, including female staff, to ensure the safety of women attendees. Additionally, a team from the fire department will be stationed onsite, prepared to address any emergency situations that may arise during the event.

The DC directed concerned officials that the event will also include an awareness camp involving key departments, with a special focus on health and agriculture. Medical teams, including doctors would be made available round-the-clock. Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) in Pouni will be designated for lodging, and additional sanitation workers will be deployed to maintain cleanliness. The meeting was attended by ADC Kulbushan Khajuria, ACD Pardeep Kumar , DFO Sunil Manhas,Tehsildar Pouni , XENs from various departments and others.
