Abdullah’s & Mufti’s,  political ideologies

The most unfortunate and wicked part of the Kashmir politics is that you leave no stone unturned to trample upon saner voices or sanity when you are in power and you start giving sermons on Islam, Character, Jihad, Morality and what not, only when you lose the power.
In the mid nineties after National Conference lead by its Party president Farooq Abdullah came to power, we as Kashmiris are witness to what this party did with common people, with governance and with the overall administrative set up of the erstwhile state. This government lead by the most corrupt people of the recent past would advocate bombing Pakistan and hanging Late Syed Ali Shah Geelani. We had renegades committing worst kinds of human rights abuses and nobody would dear to utter a word.
Omar Abdullah’s years as the chief minister would be remembered as nightmarish era in the history of Jammu and Kashmir as we had hundreds of youth killed and injured and rendered as blind with the use of pellets, but the party never had the audacity to question its leadership over what was being done. An ex DIG of JK police is on record to have said that he was offered a brief contract (Supari) to kill a huriyat leader, though he did not accept the bribe.
After PDP and PJP formed a coalition government, hundreds of youth were killed, injured or blinded from 2014 to August 2019, with the PDP President Mehbooba Mufti having no remorse; instead her “Milk and Toffee” remark put kashmiris on fire against the PDP. As a result of this “insulting” remark PDP suffered immensely in the previous Lok Sabha elections.
Nowadays, Both these parties stand out of power and if one goes through the party press notes of both the parties, one wonders if the parties have taken role of the Hurriyat Conference. Every time when anybody is arrested on militancy/sedition  charges, these parties issue statements as if they are the mouth pieces of militancy or the Pakistan. NC President farooq Abdullah every now and then says that Kashmir problem cannot be solved until India talks to Pakistan but when he was in power he would say bomb Pakistan “Pakistan Ko Goli Maro”.
