SRINAGAR, NOVEMBER 08: The Department of Social Welfare, SANKALP- Hub for Empowerment of Women- Mission Shakti Srinagar today organized awareness cum distribution of Education kits among needy female students under Beti Bachao Beti Padhao at Government Middle School- Boatman Colony, Bemina.
This initiative aimed at empowering young girls by educating them about their rights and various women centric schemes and other support extended by the government for their wellbeing, education and empowerment.
The event witnessed the presence of the staff from SANKALP-HEW Srinagar, staff from the said institution and the students from Government Middle School- Boatman Colony, Bemina and Government Middle School- Mujgund also.
The students were informed about various schemes and career opportunities and later educational kits were distributed among them in order to enhance their interest in studies.
Students actively participated in the programme and appreciated the initiative taken by the Department under Bati Bachao Beti Padhao.
