BARAMULLA, NOVEMBER 14: In an effort to enhance modern agricultural techniques among local farmers, the District Development Commissioner of Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, today inaugurated a one-day tour for 150 farmers hailing from various tribal regions within the district.
This initiative, conducted under the Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) 2024-25, will take the farmers to the Centre of Excellence in Zawoora, Srinagar, which is recognized as a premier horticultural training and research institution in the area. The flag-off event, held at Dakbanglow Baramulla, underscored the importance of offering farmers practical exposure to contemporary horticultural methods and innovations.
Throughout the tour, participants will engage in hands-on training and gain insights into advanced farming techniques, crop management, and sustainable horticultural practices at the Centre of Excellence, renowned for its groundbreaking contributions to horticulture. During the event, the District Commissioner emphasized that the one-day visit to the Centre of Excellence at Zawoora represents a significant opportunity for our progressive farmers to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in horticulture.
