UDHAMPUR, DECEMBER 19: To promote Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and best agri practices , the Bicycle Man of India Neeraj Prajapati visited District Udhampur today as a part of his 12 day campaign.
Neeraj Prajapati is on cycle tour of Jammu Division to promote and popularize different components of HADP in Horticulture Sector viz P-9, P15 & P-21. The tour started from Chenani Tunnel covering different orchards at Mada, Sattani, Chenani and Ghantwal. Near about 60 farmers interacted with the Bicycle Man of India.
Later, a farmers’ interaction programme was held in the office of Chief Horticulture Officer Udhampur. Around 50 farmers participated. Chief Horticulture Officer B.V. Gupta welcomed the visiting guest and gave a detailed outline of the Horticulture Sector in District Udhampur. He urged the farmers to avail the benefits of HADP Scheme especially in the creation of irrigation infrastructure, establishment of nurseries, rootstock bank etc.
Neeraj Prajapati explained the wide range of components of the Horticulture Sector under HADP. He advised the farmers to be a part of HADP Scheme for the development of Horticulture in the district. He also took feedback from the beneficiaries who have availed the benefit of various components of HADP Scheme.
