KISHTWAR, DECEMBER 19: The District Administration Kishtwar, led by Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan, on Thursday organized the Kishtwar Autumn Fest at the historic Chowgan Ground, Kishtwar, and an All-India Level Kavi Sammelan/Mushaira at Government Degree College, besides an Awareness Program by BOPEE.
The Autumn Fest and Awareness Program by BOPEE witnessed participation from over 30,000 people.
Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan inspected the various stalls set up during the event.
Ace Para Archer and a proud daughter of Kishtwar Sheetal Devi, was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Commissioner. Local MLA Shagun Parihar was also honored during the event.
The program was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by the guests.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated Sheetal Devi, recognizing her as the pride of Kishtwar. He also highlighted the implementation of flagship Centrally Sponsored Schemes in the district.
Chairperson of BOPEE Meenu Mahajan, along with Secretary Shabeer Ahmed Keen, provided insights into the mode of Entrance Examination conducted by the Board.
Renowned singers including Chaman Lehri and Zahida Taranum graced the event with their performances. Local singers, including Vivan Goswami, Shafkat Rasool, Nidhi Aryan, Suraj Aryan, Falak Bilal, and Burhan Sheikh, Anuj Manhas also captivated the audience with their talent.
A mesmerizing group dance performance by Kishtwar Act Production added to the festive atmosphere. Tavishi Anand, International gold medalist in dance, delivered an enthralling performance. All participants were honored with mementos as tokens of appreciation.
The event saw active participation from senior government functionaries including SSP Javed Iqbal; ADC Pawan Kotwal, PO ICDS/CEO KDA Rishi Kumar Sharma; CPO Shahnawaz Bali; ACR Idrees Lone; ACD, SDM Marwah, SDM Chatroo, SDM Paddar, and others.
In another event, an All-India Level Kavi Sammelan/Mushaira was organized at the GDC Auditorium r, featuring renowned poets from across the country.
Prominent poets included Shakeel Azmi, Sampad Saral, Liaquat Jaffery, Deepak Arsi, Varun Anand, Ramesh Mastana,Suhail Sidique, Adil Farhat, Ramesh Chander, Dr. Shaida, Surinder Sen, Ashok Koul, K.K. Sharma, Parvez Ibnetyab, Ab Salam Zargar, Sagar Sarfraz, Altaf Kishtwari, Om Goswami, Dr. Tariq Tamkeen, Prabhat Sharma and Ahmed Arsalan, Dr Rajinder Kumar (CMO Kishtwar).
