RAJOURI, DECEMBER 30: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today visited Children Home Pareesha to assess the facilities provided to the inmates residing there and ensure their well-being. During the visit, he interacted with the children, inquired about their needs, and inspected the arrangements in place, particularly for the winter season.
The DC toured the premises of the Pareesha and reviewed the quality of basic amenities, including accommodation, food, health care, and education. He engaged in an interactive session with the children, listened to their concerns, and encouraged them to focus on their studies and extracurricular activities for holistic development.
In light of the harsh winter conditions, the Deputy Commissioner closely examined the arrangements to ensure the comfort and safety of the children. He directed the concerned officials to prioritize the availability of adequate heating facilities, sufficient bedding, and warm clothing. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of regular health check-ups and nutritious meals to maintain the overall well-being of the children during the winter months.
The DC also reviewed the safety measures in place and instructed the Social Welfare Department to conduct regular inspections to address any shortcomings promptly. He assured the children and staff of the administration’s full support in ensuring their needs are met.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Abhishek Sharma said, “It is our collective responsibility to ensure that children residing in such facilities are not only safe but also provided with every opportunity to thrive. Every child deserves a dignified and nurturing environment, especially during winter when extra care is required.”
