DC Bandipora inaugurates Blood donation amp at Kishanganga Power Station

BANDIPORA, JANUARY 07: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri, on Monday inaugurated a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at the NHPC office, organized by Kishanganga Power Station in collaboration with the District Hospital Bandipora.

The blood donation camp witnessed participation from employees of Kishanganga Power Station, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and members of the local community.

Speaking at the event, DC commended the collaborative efforts of Kishanganga Power Station and District Hospital Bandipora, emphasizing that such initiatives besides saving lives inspire others to contribute to societal well-being. He stated that blood donation is one of the highest forms of community service. He further stated that each drop of blood has the potential to save lives, and this initiative reflects the spirit of selflessness and unity.

The camp was supervised by a team of expert medical professionals from District Hospital Bandipora, including Medical Superintendent, who ensured strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols.

On the occasion, the head of Kishanganga Power Station said that blood is a precious resource and such efforts ensure that we are prepared for medical emergencies. He assured that similar initiatives will continue to be organized in the future, with a vision to create a healthier and more compassionate society.
