SHOPIAN, JANUARY 07: The District Administration Shopian today felicitated various essential services departments of the district for their exceptional services during the ongoing winter.
The officers of the the MED Shopian, R&B Zainapora & Shopian, MC Shopian and KPDCL Shopian among other departments were felicitated with appreciation certificates by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar and ADDC, Dr Nasir Ahmad Lone in a function held at Mini Secretariat Shopian.
The departments of Mechanical engineering and Public Works (R& B) worked round the clock for ensuring phenomenal service delivery including the measures taken to clear snow on roads promptly and thereby ensuring the connectivity across the district.
Similarly, MC Shopian was appreciated for restoring municipal services and conducting snow clearance in the town in a record time, helping commuters to access municipal services including sanitation, traffic management and others.
KPDCL Shopian was praised for phenomenal service in restoring the electricity by brave men of the department who braved the harshest of temperatures for the public good. The feeders which were out and dead due to heavy snow were restored by the field warriors of the KPDCL in no time, said DC on the occasion.
Similarly, DC also appreciated all officials and officers of revenue, police, Jal Shakti and others.
