UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 17: To review the progress of works under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the district, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today convened a meeting with officers of line departments.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh; Divisional Forest Officer Udhampur, Chief Planning Officer and other officers from the concerned departments.
At the outset, Executive Engineer, Jal Shakti Department, Sandeep Gupta, briefed the chair on the subdivision-wise progress of works under the JJM scheme.
After thorough review, the DC emphasized the need to expedite the pace of work to achieve the targets within the stipulated timeframe. She directed the Executive Engineer to improve the progress on household connections and ensure timely reporting of all JJM activities.
Officers were instructed to conduct field visits in their respective jurisdictions, monitor the progress of ongoing works and submit daily progress reports.
The DC stressed the importance of holding regular review meetings to address issues hindering the implementation of JJM. Officers were directed to ensure strict monitoring of the quality and progress of all allotted works to ensure their time-bound completion.
The DC reiterated the district administration’s commitment to ensuring the success of the Jal Jeevan Mission, which aims to provide functional tap water connections to every household.
