ANANTNAG, JANUARY 30: The Department of Animal Husbandry, Anantnag, distributed 11 dairy cows to beneficiaries under the Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) at the Veterinary Hospital in Mehndikadal.

The event aimed to enhance dairy farming in the region and promote sustainable livelihoods for local farmers.
Dr. Javaid, the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer (CAHO) of Anantnag, addressed the gathering on the occasion, highlighting the significance of the initiative in improving dairy production and providing economic support to the farming community. He emphasized the department’s commitment to strengthening the agricultural sector by providing quality livestock and support to local farmers.

The distribution of the cows is expected to help increase milk production, improve the livelihoods of dairy farmers, and contribute to the overall development of the region’s rural economy.

Farmers who received the cows expressed their gratitude, recognizing the potential of this program in boosting their dairy businesses.

This initiative is part of a larger effort by the Department of Animal Husbandry to improve animal husbandry practices and promote the growth of the dairy industry in Anantnag and surrounding areas.
