Volleyball Tournament organised at GHSS Filler -Thakrai

KISHTWAR, MARCH 17: The District Administration Kishtwar, in partnership with the Department of Youth Services & Sports, successfully organized a volleyball tournament under the aegis of Sansad Khel Spardha 2025 here at Government Higher Secondary School Filler Block Thakrai.

The tournament was held under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Kumar Shavan and under the guidance of DYSSO Jaffer Haider Sheikh and the supervision of ZPEO.

The School Principal Krishan Lal Sharma was the chief guest. He emphasized the vital role of sports in keeping youth away from drugs and promoting discipline and a healthy lifestyle.

The sporting event witnessed enthusiastic participation from young players who showcased their talent, determination, and sportsmanship on the court. The tournament aimed to promote physical fitness, foster team spirit, and encourage youth participation in competitive sports.

The Department of Youth Services & Sports emphasized the significance of sports in shaping a healthier and more disciplined society. They highlighted that events like Sansad Khel Spardha play a crucial role in nurturing local talent and providing a platform for young athletes to excel at higher levels.

The matches were filled with energy and intense competition, with teams displaying excellent coordination and skill. Spectators, including students, teachers, and local sports enthusiasts, cheered for their favorite teams, adding to the excitement of the event.

Officials reaffirmed their commitment to organizing more such events to support youth engagement in sports and promote overall community development.

The successful conduct of the Sansad Khel Spardha 2025 Volleyball Tournament at GHSS Filler Block Thakrai stands as a testament to the region’s growing sports culture and the administration’s dedication to youth empowerment through sports.
