DC Bandipora hands-over Rs. 5.10 Cr cheque for payment under Education Assistance scheme

BANDIPORA, MARCH 24: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Manzoor Ahmad Qadri on Monday handed-over a cheque of Rs. 5.10 crore to J&K Bank for payment to Building & Other Construction Worker beneficiaries under Education Assistance scheme.

Speaking on the occasion, DC highlighted the Government’s efforts to improve the socio-economic conditions of the working class and emphasized the importance of investing in the education of children to secure their future.

He said the education assistance initiative is a step forward in ensuring that the children of construction workers get the necessary educational support.

Qadri further said that the Education Assistance scheme is an important part of the welfare measures being implemented for construction workers, ensuring that their children have the opportunity to pursue their education without financial hindrances.

Earlier giving details, the Assistant Labour Commissioner (ALC) Bandipora, Rabia Mir informed that the amount of Rs.5.10 crore under Education Assistance scheme will be credited to the bank accounts of 7165 Labour beneficiaries of the district to facilitate education of their children.

Among others CPO Bandipora, Mohammad Maqbool Lone; ALC, Rabia Mir; Manager JK Bank mini secretariat branch and other concerned were present on the occasion.
