GANDERBAL, APRIL 07: As part of the ongoing ‘Nasha Mukht Jammu and Kashmir’ campaign, a series of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities were conducted across various blocks of District Ganderbal to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free and healthy society.

The awareness programs witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, civil society members and local residents, who were sensitized on the harmful consequences of substance abuse and the importance of collective community action in addressing the issue.

Major events were organized at Chountwaliwar, Gadoora, Kullan, Chattergul, Preng, Shallabugh, and Wakura, where resource persons from Health, Social Welfare, Education, Police, and other concerned departments delivered informative sessions on the causes, consequences and prevention of drug addiction.

Speakers highlighted the pivotal role of education, family support and community involvement in combating substance abuse and aiding the rehabilitation of affected individuals.

The campaign is being actively implemented in every block of the district through the coordinated efforts of various departments and stakeholders, with the aim of creating mass awareness and encouraging public participation in building a Nasha Mukt society.
