SRINAGAR, APRIL 08: Government Degree College (GDC) Frisal, Kulgam, organized a preamble recitation and pledge day to commemorate birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar today on 8th April 2025.
The event emphasized the contributions of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, and aimed to instill his ideals of equality, justice, and fraternity among students and faculty.
The program commenced with a brief introduction on the life and legacy of Dr. Ambedkar, followed by the collective recitation of the preamble of Indian Constitution.
Principal of the college, Dr. Ishtiyaq Ahmad Shah delivered an insightful address highlighting the relevance of Dr. Ambedkar’s vision in contemporary India and emphasized the need for youth to actively participate in nation-building by upholding constitutional and moral values.
The event concluded with a group discussion among students and faculty, which further enriched the understanding of Ambedkar’s thought and its application in modern democratic society.
