Srinagar: Chamber of Commerce and Industry Kashmir on Sunday urged school heads not to force parents & guardians to pay the overdue charges at once, instead to create a favourable environment to collect the fee in installments.

CCIK President, Tariq Ghani said that we welcome the government’s decision of opening of schools across Kashmir valley. However at the same time we urge schools heads do not force parents to pay the overdue school fee, transportation or other charges at once, instead to collect it in installments in view of setback to economy due to Covid19.

After the scraping article 370 and Covid19 the economy of Kashmir has suffered massive loss, due to which parents are not in a position to pay the over dues at once instead the schools should create a mechanism to collect the over dues in installments, Ghani said.

The schools also should not ask for advance payment, he added.

He also urged JKBOSE Chairperson to come clear over the confusion of board exams among 10th and 12th students as many believe that there will be no board exam for 10th onwards now.

CCIK also wished good luck to all students on resuming offline classes back to after a prolonged closure of schools in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNS)
