RAJOURI, MAY 05: As part of the ongoing Drug-Free Rajouri campaign under the aegis of the Nasha Mukht Abhiyan, a series of awareness camps were organized today across 19 blocks of the Rajouri district on the directions of Deputy Commissioner   Abhishek Sharma.

The initiative witnessed overwhelming participation from the general public, cutting across all age groups. People turned up in large numbers, showing their commitment to creating a drug-free society and extending support to the administration’s efforts.

Block Development Officers (BDOs) actively participated in the awareness camps and played a key role in mobilizing local communities. The Additional Deputy Commissioners (ADCs) and Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs) closely monitored and participated in the camps to ensure smooth execution and maximum outreach.

During the camps, informative videos were screened to highlight the ill effects of drug abuse and the importance of community involvement in eradicating the menace. The sessions focused on preventive education, early intervention, and community-level action against substance abuse.

The general public widely appreciated the initiative and lauded the district administration for taking proactive steps to raise awareness and safeguard the youth from the dangers of addiction.

The District Administration reaffirmed its commitment to intensify the campaign further and sought the continued cooperation of citizens in building a healthier and drug-free Rajouri.
